#27. Social media cleanse for 1 month

Completion Dates: 11/29/2020 - 12/28/2020

My Definition of "Social Media":  any online platform that spreads information and ideas primarily through user-generated content.
My Deactivated SM Accounts: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, WhatsApp, LinkedIn
​Fun Facts: There are over 3.8 billion active social media users in the world. An average person has more than 9 different social media accounts and spends a daily average of 2 hours and 16 minutes on social media - that's 70 hours per month! [Statusbrew]

​Areas of Impact
  • Productivity: Felt MUCH more productive. At first I felt the urge to check my SM every so often, but after a few days I got used to having fewer distractions.
  • Health: Both my physical and mental health improved. Exercised 19/30 days compared to avg. 13.5 in two months prior. Ate much healthier. Meditated 21/30 days compared to avg. 16.5 in two months prior.
  • Sleep: Did not change much. Average nightly sleep time remained ~7 hours/night. Quality of sleep might've improved marginally.
